The 16 owners of Broomgrass will each own their one acre homesite (fee simple)
and an interest in the remaining 304 acres as a member of the Association.
The development rights to this land were conveyed as an easement to a
regional land trust on April 25, 2005. The restrictions were recorded with the
County Clerk's Office as a Deed of Easement and will apply to the land
forever. This action protects the land in perpetuity and ensures that
this land is taxed at the farm use tax rate.
The farm use tax rate is far less than the residential property tax rate.
